I was given the opportunity to explore Anaheim, California a few weeks back. Words can't describe how grateful I am to God for this awesome experience! The primary reason for my trip was to attend the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS). "Students attend this conference to present their research, enhance professional development skills, explore graduate schools, and network." I was there to learn more about research opportunities for STEM students I advise.

One of the highlights of my trips was the Mighty Ducks Jersey I saw as soon as I got off the plane. It should be noted that one of my favorite movies is D3: The Mighty Ducks. In addition, the Anaheim Ducks (professional ice hockey team) are based in Anaheim, California.

So with that being said.........you know I had to check the Anaheim Ducks schedule and go to my first hockey game!!!!! It was lit and some of the players got into a fist fight lol

I met an older gentleman named Jim in the Orange County (John Wayne) airport and he stressed that I go to Disneyland when I had free time and you best believe that's what I did. I truly enjoyed the new Star Wars attraction!

Before my trip to Disneyland I stopped by a spot called The Original Pancake House. I truly think IHOP stole their recipes lol I ordered basic menu options (pancakes, cheese eggs, and bacon) but it was amazing along with my chocolate milk!

In-N-Out Burger wasn't near my hotel in Anaheim so I decided to go to another spot called The Habit Burger Grill. I asked the cashier for her recommendations and ordered the BBQ Bacon Charburger with onion rings and a chocolate shake. It was really good (the cashier also hooked me up with some bangin' ranch sauce for my onion rings)! I would like to go back and try their other burger options such as the Teriyaki Charburger and Santa Barbara Char.

I also went to a local Anaheim shopping mall and it featured dope art from local artists!

Back to ABRCMS, it was an awesome conference. I was able to network with notable schools and took all the swag I could lol one of the speakers at the conference talked about his collaboration with the rapper Doug E. Fresh to raise stroke awareness in Harlem. The song they made was clever!

All in all, I truly enjoyed Anaheim and I'm grateful that God allowed me to explore this great city! Looking forward to more travel opportunities in 2020 #ToBeContinued #CHRONYBE
